My grades — score and GPA

Your score in every workshop and course, the grade, and your overall GPA for workshops and for courses separately — and how it is calculated.

“My grades” in the menu works like a transcript: your score in every workshop and course, and your overall average.

1 2 3 4
  1. Workshops GPA: your overall average out of 4 across your workshops, with the grade, the percentage, the number of workshops and the hours.
  2. Courses GPA: the same for courses, on its own — workshops do not count in it.
  3. The workshops table: each workshop with its hours, attendance, quizzes, assignments and exam, and the score with its grade and GPA. Click a name to open it.
  4. How the score is calculated: the weight of each part and the grade scale.

The workshop score

Out of 100, from 4 parts:

Part Weight How it counts
Attendance 40% the sessions you attended out of those held (the same rate as the certificate)
Quizzes 30% the average of your best grade in each quiz you took
Assignments 15% the accepted ones out of those reviewed or past their due date
Final exam 15% your best graded attempt
  • If a workshop does not have a part (no exam, say), its weight goes to the others.
  • The score shows up after your first session or quiz.
  • After the workshop closes: a quiz you did not take counts as zero, every assignment counts, and an exam without a graded attempt counts as zero.
  • The academy can change the weights; the table at the bottom of “My grades” shows the current ones.
  • How attendance is calculated, and when each part enters the score: Attendance and score.

On the workshop page itself, your score is in where you stand at the top; clicking it opens “My grades”.

The course score

Completion (your progress in the course) 40%, quizzes (best grade) 40%, and the final exam 20% when the course has one. The score starts after your first lesson or quiz.

Grades and GPA

Score Grade GPA
85–100 Distinction 3.7 – 4.0
75–84 Very good 3.0 – 3.3
65–74 Good 2.3 – 2.7
50–64 Pass 1.0 – 2.0
below 50 Needs improvement 0

The overall average is weighted by hours: a 12-hour workshop counts more than a 3-hour one. The overall grade comes from the GPA itself.
