Certificates and reviews

Your certificates with a PDF and a verification code, how anyone can check one, and how to rate a workshop or course you finished.

A certificate is issued automatically:

  • A workshop: when it closes, if you attended the required share of its sessions.
  • A course: when you complete the required lessons and pass its quizzes.

You also get a “Your certificate is ready” email.

  1. Verification code: like EXC-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, with its status next to it: Valid or Revoked. Above it: the workshop or course name, the issue date and the hours.
  2. View: opens the certificate in a new tab.
  3. Download PDF: save it or print it.
  4. Copy verification link: a link you can send to anyone (an employer, for example) so they can check the certificate is genuine.

Verifying a certificate

Anyone can check a certificate on the site’s Verify a certificate page — no account needed.

  1. Verification code: typed in, or reached directly by scanning the QR code printed on the certificate.
  2. The result: Valid certificate with the student’s name, the workshop or course, and the issue date. A revoked certificate says This certificate was revoked with the date.

Rating a workshop or course

Once a workshop closes (if you attended at least one session), or once you complete a course, a Rate the workshop or Rate the course button appears. All of this is in one place: My reviews in the menu (under “My achievements”).

1 2
  1. Waiting for your review: the workshop or course you finished and have not rated yet, with a Rate button.
  2. Opens once you finish: a workshop still running, with the date of its last session, and a course with how far you are.

Once you rate, the review moves to Your reviews with its stars and status (awaiting approval / published / rejected with the reason) and an Edit button.

1 2 3
  1. Your rating: from 1 to 5 stars (Poor, Fair, Good, Very good, Excellent).
  2. Your comment (optional): what was useful, and what would you tell someone thinking about joining? Up to 1000 characters.
  3. Send my review.

Rating your instructors

This is separate from rating the workshop: here you rate the instructor, and only the academy team sees your rating (with your name) — it does not appear on the site and the instructor does not see it. It opens at the same time as rating the workshop or course, from Rate your instructors in the menu (under “My achievements”).

1 2
  1. Waiting for your rating: the instructor of each workshop or course you finished, with a Rate the instructor button.
  2. Opens once you finish: the instructor of a workshop still running, with the date of its last session, and of a course with how far you are.
1 2 3
  1. The questions: the academy writes them — some with stars (1 to 5) and some multiple choice, all required.
  2. Your comment (optional): what did the instructor do well, and what could be better? Up to 1000 characters.
  3. Send my rating.
