My courses

Recorded courses — lessons in order, how a lesson counts as complete, quizzes and their attempts, and the certificate when you finish.

You watch a recorded course whenever it suits you, on the site or in the app, and your progress is saved on both.

1 2 3 4 5
  1. The summary: active courses, lessons you finished, your quiz average, and your certificates.
  2. Your progress: lessons done out of the total, and the percentage.
  3. Your numbers in it: quizzes passed, your grade (the average of your best grade in each quiz), and your last activity.
  4. The certificate: after what share of the lessons (and passing the quizzes when the course has some), or Your certificate is ready.
  5. Continue: takes you back to the lesson you were on.

The lesson player

1 2 3 4 5
  1. The course and your progress: the course name and the lessons you completed out of the total.

  2. The course outline: sections, lessons and quizzes.

    • A green tick = done.
    • A lock = still locked.

In a sequential course a lesson opens when you finish the one before it, and the next section opens when you finish this section and its quiz.

  3. The video: plays inside the site, with your name and email shown over it.

  4. The lesson: its section and number, marked Completed once you finish it. Then the Next lesson button (or Next: quiz).

  5. Licensed to you personally: there is no download link. If the lesson has attachments, they show under the video and open in the site’s viewer.

Quizzes

A section can end with a quiz, and every quiz has a timer.

1 2 3 4 5
  1. Quiz details: number of questions, the time in minutes, the attempts left, and the pass mark.
  2. Where you stand:
    • A ring with your best score, which is the one that counts toward the course grade.
    • Passed or Not passed.
    • Before you start, this is where Start the quiz is, with “Before you start” under it.
  3. Your attempts: every attempt with its date, the time you took, its score and its status.
  4. Result: open an attempt and review it.
  5. In the curriculum: the quiz shows its questions and time (“3 Q · 15 min”), or your best score once you took it.

Taking a quiz

1 2 3 4 5 6 7
  1. The timer:
    • It starts when you press start, and keeps running even if you close the page.
    • It turns amber in the last 5 minutes and red in the last minute.
    • When it runs out, the attempt is submitted with the answers saved so far.
  2. Answered: a bar of the questions you answered out of the total.
  3. The question:
    • One question per screen. Pick your answer; it is saved right away, and you can come back and change it.
    • On a keyboard, 1–9 pick an option and the arrows move between questions.
  4. Mark for review: not sure? Mark it and come back later.
  5. Next / Previous: on the last question it becomes Review and submit.
  6. The question map: navy = answered, amber = marked for review. Click any number to jump to it.
  7. Submit: opens the submit window at any time.
1 2 3
  1. Before you submit: how many you answered, how many have no answer (they count as wrong), and how many are marked for review.
  2. Jump to a question: the questions without an answer. Click one to go back to it.
  3. Submit answers: the attempt is graded right away and you see your score.

An attempt’s result

1 2 3 4
  1. The score: a ring with the percentage, passed or not, correct answers out of the total, and the pass mark.
  2. The numbers: correct, wrong, unanswered, and the time you took.
  3. The filter: All / Wrong / Correct, so you can review only what you missed.
  4. The answers: your choice, and the correct answer in green with the explanation below it, once you pass or use up your attempts.

The final exam

A course or a workshop can have one final exam. It shows at the end of the curriculum in a course, in a card next to your attendance on the workshop page, and in “Your to-do list” on your dashboard when it is about to open or open.

1 2 3 4 5
  1. Needed for the certificate: if shown, the certificate is issued only after you pass it.
  2. Exam details: the number of questions and their points, the duration in minutes, the attempts left, and the pass mark.
  3. The exam window: it opens on a day and time and closes on a day and time. You cannot start before or after it.
  4. Where you stand: when it opens (with a countdown), Start the exam, Resume the attempt, awaiting grading, or your score.
  5. Before you start: the timer starts the moment you press start and keeps running even if you close the page.
1 2 3 4
  1. The timer: the exam’s duration, or the time left until it closes if that is shorter. It turns yellow then red near the end, and when it runs out the attempt is submitted with what was saved.
  2. The question: one answer or several, true or false, a short answer, an essay, or a file upload — like this one: up to 3 PDF, image, Word, Excel or PowerPoint files, 20 MB each, uploaded right away.
  3. The question map: move between questions and see what you answered and what you marked for review.
  4. Submit: shows how many questions you left unanswered before you confirm.

After you submit:

  • Choice and true-or-false questions are graded right away.
  • Written answers and files are graded by the instructor; until then you see “Awaiting grading”.
  • Once graded you get a notification and an email with your score, and the attempt shows the grade of every question and the instructor’s note.
  • The correct answers show after the exam window closes.

The certificate and rating the course

  • Certificate: issued automatically when you complete the required share of the lessons and pass every quiz. It appears in My certificates.
  • Review: once you complete the course, Rate the course appears — see Reviews.
